Tobeyism

Before you ask me what that name means, let me first tell you that it doesnt exist yet in any dictionary. It was coined by me. If Beyism could be fored because of beyonce, why cant TOBEYISM BE FORMED AFTER me.

Tobeyism is not a religion where tobechi should be worship . Instead,it is more of a way of life, a belief ,a culture.

Tobeyism is a belief in a creator of the universe.
Tobeyism has no place of worship.her members cut across every religion on earth.
TOBEYISM is a versatile religion. Members could attend any any church or mosque of their choice.

Tobeyism has no particular doctrine concerning nature of God.Tobeyism is uncertain if God is trinitarian or not. Tobeyism has never seen God.as a result is not sure if God has a son or a mother.

Tobeyism doesnt really know Gods desires. Whether God wants us to worship him or to celebrate him is uncertain. Whether God is spiritual or not is unknown. Whether God is present everywhere or in heaven hasnt been prooven. Can God do everything? No one knows.

This religion sees other religion as mere attempt of man to understand the concept of God,all religion claims her own idea is the perfect representation of God. Their contradictions however makes it impossible for all to be correct .its either one is correct or neither is correct.

Tobeyism focuses more on humanity. Ones treatment to his fellow human is his treatment to God. Service to humanity is service to God.
Tobeyism advocates that no religious group should hold her doctrine strong to the extent of discriminating against non members. Instead, religious dogma should be taken with a pinch of salt as they are allcompilation of human attempt to solve earth puzzles.

Are you interested to join tobeyism? You dont need to visit any place?you dont need to pay any amout? Just make up your mind. Begin to treat your fellow human as your God.

my perfect role model

Many years ago, my dad called me one night when every one was asleeo and gave me an assignment. He said

“go get a role model, outline seven qualities of that person you intend to emulate. He/she must be perfect without major stain and fanous for a good act”

i nodded and went back to bed.i had expected a mathematical sum or an errand. I thought and thought and thought.

I mentioned Michael Jackson to my dad, he reminded me that he was jailed . I mentioned Akon.dad askeed ” you mean the ex-convict?.

I left music and tried politics. Babaginda, george Bush all had murdet stain on them.

I stoped thinking. No person was blamish. .
I took my burden to school library.i saw a book covered with dust. I cleaned it . The front cover was written ” the only sinless man”. I smilled and gave a sign of relief. I quickly opened the book and saw the name JESUS.

i screamed loud . How come i never thought of this.was i so foolish all along searching without consulting the BIBLE.. JESUS was a perfect role model. The only one without stain.

I went home that day and headed straight to my fathers room to inform my dad of my decision.i noticed the smile on his face as he noded his head and drew me to him self.” GOOD BOY,NOW EMULATE JESUS.

Christiaity is realy a religion with so many branches. Having analysed each group, i classify them into these groups

HOLY HOLY

this group draw attention to themselves by public display of faith.they are ready to pray and preach anywhere and anytime.they likdisplaying their accomplishnent publicly eg virginity. Their words and dressing shows christianity.

they belive they are spirituality and morally superior to others.they are prone to judging and condeming others.they isolate those who are note in their league. They run a risk of being hypocrite.

THEY ARE FOUND AMONG JEHOVA WITHNESS , CATHOLICS AND DEEPER LIFE.

INTELLECTUALS

they take their studies seriously and are open minded.they tolerate other religion.they are well exposed and well travelled . They argue more instead of evangelising, they try to prove their right.

MODERNISED CHRISTIANS

they change easily as things change. Pay much appearance to appearance.according to them,Gods goodness should reflect in your life.they are fashion conscious, wear jewelries ,trousiers, short skirt, tatooes, stylish hair etc etc.they are less condemming. They preach grace.

do nigerian lawyers make better Governors?

I noticed that nigerian lawyers tend to do well as governors. Take a look at the following names

GODSWILL AKPABIYO
GABRIEL SUSWAN
SILVIAN CHIME
ROTIMI AMAECHI AND
BABATUNDE FASHIOLA.

THESE GOVERNORS HAVE TWO THINGS IN COMON. THEY ARE LAWYERS AND THEY ARE PERFORMING WELL. DOES THIS HAVE ANY CORRELATION? DOES IT MEAN LAWYERS MAKE BETTER GOVERNORS?

First, lawyers are advocates. A lawyer’s job is advocating specific positions on behalf of its clients, similar to a politician’s advocacy of a constituent’s interests. law is an extension of the democratic process. Lawyers are trained in navigating through legislation and policy, and this gives the legal profession a head start in understanding how society works, which in turn helps them serve it better.

Lawyers know their positional right and dont over use it. Even when they want to embezzle fund, they do so smartly with little trace. They know the implication of their action before acting. They posses good oratory skills which they use in convincing their followers.

In the upcomming election, should we all vote candidates who are lawyers?

whites are devil, blacks are God….Jay Z

Black people are the fathers and mothers of civilization, white men are the devil, the Christian god is nothing more than a ghost and only a small percentage of people understand the world.

These are just some of the beliefs behind the bling — the gaudy Five Percent Nation medallions worn by Jay Z and Carmelo Anthony.

Last week, all eyes at the Barclays Center weren’t on Jay Z’s better half, Beyoncé — but on the coaster-size golden pendant swinging from the rapper’s neck as the couple sat courtside. Asked once if the group’s symbol — an eight-pointed star with the number 7 in the middle — held any meaning for him, the rapper shrugged, “A little bit.”
So what exactly do Five Percenters believe?

“The rationale is that the black man is God and created the universe, and is physically stronger and intellectually stronger and more righteous naturally,” says Michael Muhammad Knight, an author of two books on the radical group.
“Whiteness is weak and wicked and inferior — basically just an errant child who needs to be corrected.”

The group was founded in 1964 in Harlem by Clarence Smith, who later changed his name to Allah, a former student of Malcolm X who disagreed with the Nation of Islam over the nature of God.
Smith rejected the notion of a supernatural deity and instead believed that all black men had God in them and that black women were “earths” who took on a complementary yet subordinate role to their gods.
The idea is empowering, Knight says.
“Anytime someone is saying you have to accept your conditions of oppression and slavery and pray to an unseen god — that kind of god is just being used to keep people down and to keep people from looking to themselves as a solution to their problems,” he notes. “If there is a problem, no one will fix it for you, except yourself.”
Five Percenters don’t consider themselves Muslim, but their name comes from the Nation of Islam’s belief that 5 percent of humanity are “poor righteous teachers” who exist to enlighten the masses about the truth of existence.
Members will sometimes refer to themselves as “scientists” to drive home the search for truth. And they face a tall task, because under their belief system, 10 percent of the world’s population controls the other 85 percent by spreading the belief in a “mystery God.”
To show followers the way, members must learn the Supreme Mathematics and Supreme Alphabet — powerful tools to decipher the meaning of the universe. In both, each letter and number represents a concept: for example, 1 is knowledge, 2 is wisdom, while A is Allah and B is be, or born. The number 7 on Jay Z’s pendant stands for God.
Caucasians, meanwhile, don’t enjoy an exalted status in the narrative of the Five Percenters.
“The first lesson I learned from the Five Percent was simple: F–k white people. Seriously. White people are devils,” Knight, 36, who is white and converted to Islam as a teenager, once wrote.
He insisted the movement has been welcoming and that he views the controversial sentiment as a statement about power rather than biology.
“For me, it is about who is marked as privileged in the power relations of this society,” he says.
Some followers take exception to those who transform their flag into a fashion accessory.
“Jay Z is not an active member — no one has vouched for him” Saladin Allah, a representative of the group’s upstate region, told The Post. “It was always understood that you don’t wear the regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.

NYANYA BOMB BLAST ; MY OBSERVATION ABOUT NIGERIAns

The Nyanya bomb blast that killed over 70 persons today took many by suprise. No one expected this to happen. Nigeria president goodluck Jonathan had earlier boasted that bomb blast and bokoharam activities have been checked especially within the federal capital territory.

While the day lasted, i noticed a lot.

1) BAD NEWS SPREAD FASTER ; the explosion occured by seven. I personally heard it. Five minutes later ,it was reported on nta news. Ten minutes later ,it was on facebook and other social media.really faster than speed of light.

NIGERIA LIKE TO WATCH ; everyone rushed to the scene to the scene to take a look.those with phone took pictures .security had a tough time pushing people away so as to rescue injured.

CALLS CALLS CALLS
i recieved over 30 calls from various people.both enemies, friends, well wishers, villagers etc. Even those i hadnt heard from in 5 years had my number.

EVERYTHING IS POLITICISED

The Pdp speech blaming opposition for this was really bad.

TOURIST ATTTRACTION..

VARIOUS PROMINENT men CAME TO THE SITE . PEople from nassarawa, minna and neigbouring state came to take a look. Helicopters were hovering round the site.

CONDOLENSE; dont be suprise to hear ministers, comissioners, musicians, governors ,pastors, immams, senators, etc all condol with deceased.

THE GOD FACTOR ; every one was thanking God for sparing their lives. But no one thanked God for those who lost their lives

Should we keep pitying the north educationally?

The west african examination council released its result and ranked states according to their performance. Once again no nothern state made the best ten. list

this is amidst report that nothern states have nigeria worst girl child education.

attempt have been madr to encourage them to patronise education, last year, the Federal Ministry of Education had announced the cut-off marks for admission into the Federal Government Colleges, known as Unity Schools, with the shocking piece of information that while the cut-off mark was as high as 139 for a Southern state like Anambra, it was as low as two, yes two, (out of a possible 200 marks) for pupils of a Northern state like Yobe. Utme cut off point is reduced to as low as 160 for nothern indigenes only
yet
Northern Nigeria remains, and represents the only place in the world that has the highest number of Children that are not going to school. The Highest number of children that are not going to school in the world are in Northern Nigeria

Imo State and anambra produced more candidates seeking admission into the universities than all the 19 Northern states put together. That is not just shocking but dangerous.catchement area law has made it difficult for them to get admission in nothern state.

What do we do? Do we keep giving a goat meat after it refuses to chew or do we give the meet to the dog willing to eat.

Do we still keep reducing our education standard for those who dont want to learn .
Do we let the north who are lagging behind educationally draw us back or do we let go of them and pursue knowledge .?

The Analysis of A Soap Making Micro-Business in Nigeria

Microfinance and Development

As a Financial Sustainability Officer of Alliance Microfinance Bank (AMFB) in Abuja, Nigeria,
this blog is written to analyse the strengths and limitations of a micro-business in that area.

In Africa, millions of people died of preventable diseases due to unclean water, and poor
sanitation and hygiene (Uniever 2014). To tackle against the issue, have you ever thought of
‘selling soap’ as a way to do so?

Image

Mrs. Regina Olusegun started her soap making micro-business in Nigeria with N9,000 (AU$60)
(Ibrahim 2013b). She produces products like herbal soap and liquid wash simply in her house in
Abuja (Ibrahim 2013a). The business has grown quickly, and nowadays, she produces about 20-30 containers every week. With a low cost of production, it is quite profitable as the smaller
packages are sold for N600 (AU$4) each while the bigger ones go for N1,000 (AU$6.5) each
(Ibrahim 2013b).

“The bathing soap is herbal which is good for the body and I started by making it for my
family but because of the medicinal effect, neighbours started buying it and that was
how the business started.” – (Olusegun 2013a)

The reasons why this business is selected:

1. It is an innovative approach to the developing world and there is a great demand from the
local people.

2. The business is small-scale, easy and can be profitable.

3. It can bring great social impact to the current situation of poor hygiene and sanitation in
Nigeria since hand-washing with soap is reported to be able to reduce diarrhea by 42%
(Indiegogo 2014).

4. In an interview, Mrs. Olusegun shared about her failed application for the federal government
YouWin program and she has not tried to access loan yet (Ibrahim 2013b). Therefore, she has
a need to search for financial support for further investment in assets and facilities. And by
accepting her as a client and helping her a little bit, she can do greater things and draw us into a
win-win situation.

Meanwhile, there are both strengths and limitations of the business.

Strengths:

1) Financial sustainability

It has already been considered as a sustainable business with the power of profitability and high
demand from local customers.

“I make at least N20, 000 (AU$131.5) profits each time I produce. It is a very lucrative
business, there is no time that I produce and I do not sell because I have people who also
buy and re-sell.” – (Olusegun 2013b)

2) Concern for the needs of others

This is not just a business for self-gain, but Mrs. Olusegun also trains people in soap making
for a token as an act of empowerment (Ibrahim 2013a). She has a desire to raise up
more workers when she sets up a factory so it can bring a positive multiplier effect to the
community by increasing opportunities of employment (Ibrahim 2013a).  By concerning both
financial return and social impact at the same time, it stands as a healthy business.

Image

3) Strong belief of the entrepreneur

Mrs. Olusegun did not want to go into food business, and later on, she found soap making as
her dream job through self-learning from books (Ibrahim 2013a). From my personal experience,
if I love my job, I would work with determination and passion. That’s why it is so important to
find her building her business by faith.

Limitations:

1) Barrier to access to suppliers

There is the possibility of a long distance travel to the main area of Nigeria to purchase soap
making ingredients, and the journey can be time consuming and dangerous (Power of Hope
Kibera n.d.). Besides, it is difficult for the women to carry heavy ingredients back to the slum
(Power of Hope Kibera n.d.).

2) Rise of competitors

Due to the high demand, there are many similar businesses expected to rise up. Competitors
have to be watched out although Mrs. Olusegun has targeted on customer loyalty through
relationships with neighbours.

3) Unregistered business

The business could not be registered with the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration
and Control (NAFDAC) because she was told by NAFDAC to get a factory first even though
they were satisfied with her products (Ibrahim 2013b). Therefore, the challenge of transferring
her business from home to a factory remains a big obstacle (Ibrahim 2013b).

In order to expand the business, the following suggestions can be considered:

1. By accessing to a financial sustainable focused MFI like us, Mrs. Olusegun can use the loan
to get a factory so that the business can be registered. Moreover, she can get more assets, e.g.
soap making machines, and train up more labours, especially young females, to continue the
business for next generation through women empowerment. Microfinance can also support her
through hiring specialists for transportation and delivery of products.

Image

2. ‘Soap calculator’ can be used to minimise the expenditure in ingrediants and maximise the
financial return (MakeSoup Biz 2012). Here’s an example of the calcuating method:
http://www.makesoap.biz/soapcalculator

3. The business can be more specific to customers’ needs and invest in other potential products,
e.g. detergents, to provide alternative of choices (Olaade Nigeria Venture 2011). Consequently,
it can be more competitive.

4. Following the example of EcoSOAP (2011) in Kenya, the business can look for potential
clients ranged from cleaning companies, hotels, restaurants, schools, offices, homes and
commercial establishments. Therefore, a sustainable rapport can be built in the local area.

We talk too much!!!

Ikechukwu Nwosu's Blog

I’ve noticed something among individuals. Many of us know what to do, we even say what to do, but actions are always absent. We can narrate to anyone that comes in contact with us how we want our lives to be, but after that narrative speech, we fall back to our state of idleness and just expect things to work out. Things do just not work, you work to make them work. “Enough is enough” is one of the phrases we always use, but we forget that things do not stop working by our words, unless we stop them. What is that one thing you want to do in life, start working to get it done. Life offers nothing to anybody, except ofcourse, to those who demand for them. You demand for whatever you desire to achieve by planning and execution. Go and do what you ought to, and stop…

An Open Letter To My Governor

Random Musings of the Unhinged Mind

From Delta with love From Delta with love

I thought since the fad hadn’t lost its appeal yet, I might as well join the band wagon. This letter is however not directed at the governor of my resident state, but the governor of my home state.

Dear Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan,

Degwo! It is with great joy I write you this letter. Let me start by saying- Urhobo wado!

I am a bona fide child of Delta State, with firm roots in Ekpan, Uvwie LGA, please note that even if this fruit has fallen far from its roots, it does not negate the fact that my roots are there and still traceable, I can also provide my Local Government Certificate and any other proof you might require as regards my State of Origin. I believe my grandfather (God rest his soul) when he said emphatically that marriage does not change where you are from.

5 THINGS I HATE ABOUT 9JA WEDDINGS

JESUSNATIVE

Over the years i have discovered or noticed a lot of things about Nigerian weddings and if i have my way,i will change it.

LATE COMING

how on earth should a person come to his or her wedding late? like many say,It is suppose to be the happiest day of ones life,it is not just the bride and groom that are guilty of this but friends and family alike come late to church or sometimes don’t even make to the church but the reception.

i think the church service is the most fascinating moment in a wedding and being a witness to two people saying ‘I DO’ would just be the right thing to do.

WHOSE WEDDING IS IT?

Marriage is a union between two people who love themselves and are ready to live together forever, the wedding is theirs and not for mummy, daddy, aunty or uncle to dictate what goes and…

ADDICTION: Woman Hospitalised After Excessive WhatsApp Chatting

ADDICTION: Woman Hospitalised After Excessive WhatsApp Chatting

By Anita Sunday

A woman used the WhatsApp messaging service so much that she ended up in hospital for treatment. A report by Cellular, said the 37-year-old woman chatted so much on WhatsApp over the last Christmas holiday that she had to be treated for severe pain in the wrist. The woman, who is medical practitioner, was 27 weeks pregnant at the time and had no history of trauma and had not engaged in any excessive physical activity in the previous days. The source said on Christmas Day she spent an estimated six hours holding a modestly weighty mobile phone while sending vast quantities of messages. She was diagnosed with bilateral extensor pollicis longus tendinitis of the thumb, which they nicknamed “WhatsAppitis”. Cellular reports: The treatment consisted of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and complete abstinence from using the phone to send messages – although she ignored that rule on New Years…

Re: FFK, the prostitution of a statesman, by Seni Akinrinade

lAkUnLeScReWs

ffk

It was with mixed feelings that I received the news that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK may have decamped from the main opposition All Progressives Congress APC to the ruling People’s Democratic Party PDP. As in, JUST LIKE THAT!!!!!!!

Well I described my initial reaction as “mixed” because even though FFK has recently gained a huge followership (or readership, if you mind) on social media due to his open criticisms of the anti-people policies of the current GEJ-led federal government, his antecedents as the mouthpiece (attack dog) of the not-so-popular Obasanjo-led FG remain fresh in my memory. It got so bad that the then presidential spokesman would spit fire plus venom on anybody (I mean anybody) who dared to disagree with the president on any matter then. OBJ just could not go wrong in FFK’s diary then, the same way GEJ cannot be wrong in Dr Reuben Abati’s opinion nowadays.

tribe yoruba

six reasons why yorubas rule nigeria

The yoruba people are one of the major ethnic group in nigeria. .i am an igbo and i hate to admit this. Yorubas rule nigeria. Before you begin to attack me,let me outline my reason.

Yorubas are most wealthy ; take a look at the top richest nigerian llist, about 50 percent are nigerians in the list are yorubas.the richest black woman is also a yoruba.

YORUBAS ARE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE: yorubas rule the nation academically. The top universities are located in that region of country. Yorubas have many ptofessors. They dominate the legal world boasting of manu SAN.

YORUBAS RULE SPIRITUALLY

IN nigeria, yoruba rule the spiritual kinggdom. The highest juju factory in nigeria is in yoruba land. You cant watch a nigerian film without any reference of herbalist.the average yoruba man has protective charms wherever
he goes.

Yorubas also rule the protestant church. Living faith, deeper life, mountain of fire etc are headed by yoruba men.

Yorubas are most tolerant :in a typical yoruba home, yyou can find a muslim man married to christian woman. Their children also tend to mmarry from other tribes especially from nothern nigeria.

Yorubas are most appreciative

render a selfless service to a yoruba man e.g pust their car .and they shower blessings on you, your family,
descendants,ancestors etc.

They cebrate small issues from promotion to child first position.they always give testimony in church.

They dont forget their culture

any plant without root is as good as dead. Recently, Ifa was introduced as a subject in yoruba state. They already boast of a scholar prof Abimbola ,prof of ifa studies.
The yoruba film industry still makes name.

HAVING GIVING MY REASONS, I WANT TO STRESS THAT OTHER ETHNIC GROOUPS CAN LEARN FROM YORUBAS SO AS TO IMPROVE NIGERIA . THE HAUSAS SHOULD TAKE EDUCATION SERIOUSLY, IGBOS SHOULD SSTOP BURNING THEIR SHRINES. .IBIBIOS SHOULD LOOK INTO THEIR ENTERTAINMENT SECTOR. FULANIS SHOULD LEARN TO TOLERATE OTHER RELIGION.
