life of a nigerian engineering student 3

You have finally settled down but wait you are studying a course that you feel issnot relevant. Imagine a computer engineering student with a drawing board ant Tsquare drawing and dimensioning the internal combustion engine of an automobile. May be he would design a diesel powered computer.Dont be supprised to see a mining engineering students with an electrical engineering texbook by theraja or an electrical engineering student in a foundry class.

Third lesson learnt ;A nigerian engineering student should have an idea of every field because he cant predict where he would find a job

life of an engineering student 2

On your second day,you put on a tshirt and a jean trouser and headed straight to the lab for mechanics practicals. All engineering students;mechanics, mechatronics, chemical, mechanical, production, electrical and electronics students are present.the small mechanics lab is not enough to accomodate over700 students. The technologist suggest the practical holds outside, the 700 students make a circle round him sweating under the hot sun. The technologist speaks without microphone so no one is listening.

Second lesson learnt ; you must persever in an unfaivorable condition to graduate as an engineer

change vs transformation

CHANGE AFFECTS A SMALL SECTION ,ITS IMPACT IS UNNOTICED.

E.G AN INCREAMENT IN WAGES FROM #10,000 to #11,100.

Transformation is large and significant.
E.g from junior to senior staff.

2) CHANGE OCCURS IN A PART.
E.G MY FOURTH TOE IS CUT OFF

TRANSFORMATION IS A WHOLE AND COMPLETE
E.G MY LEGS ARE AMPUTATED.

3)CHANGE HAPPENS SUDDENLY.
E.G IT TAKES FEW MINUTES FOR A GIRL TO BE PREGNANT.

TRANSFORMATION TAKES A LONG TIME.E.G IT TAKES 9MONTH TO GIVE BIRTH.

4)CHANGE FIXES THE PAST.TRANSFORMATION CREATS THE FUTURE.

5)CHANGE IS EASILY REVERSED E.G
MIXING OIL AND WATER.U CAN EASILY SAPERATE BOTH

TRANSFORMATION ISNOT EASILY REVERSED E.G BAKING A CAKE.CAN YOU SAPERATE IT?

6)CHANGE COULD BE POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE OT NEITHER.

TRANSFORATION IS ALWAYS IMPROVEMENT.

7)CHANGE SCRATCHES THE SURFACE
TRANSFORMATION OVERHAULS THE ENTIRE BODY STARTING FROM ROOT

THERE CAN BE NO TRANSFORMATION WITHOUT CHANGE. ALL TRANSFORMATION IS CHANGE BUT NOT ALL CHANGE IS TRANSFORMATION. TRANSFORMATION IS ADVANCED CHANGE.

Example of an economics exam from Harvard University in 1953

Can any economics guru answer these ancient havard economics exam question

Mostly Economics

Prof. Ric Holt (of South Oregon Univ) shares this interesting copy of the exam paper (via a group mail on history of economic thought).

Just take a look at the economics questions asked in Universities  during those times. Needless to say all this has changed dramatically. Earlier it required understanding of history and economics, now it is just about math.As these guys determine the standards elsewhere as well, the disease has caught onto most parts of the world  (if not all):

The major idolatory most christian practice

Idolatry is a horrible, dangerous thing.
Sadly, far too many Christians are so very guilty of it.
You can see it in the way they complain on social media, in the way they comment on the news of the day; in the defeatist, alarmist language that they use as to describe the world.
You see it in the way they furrow their brows, and throw-up their hands, and slam their pulpits.

Though they loudly, repeatedly, and confidently proclaim Christ as Lord, in reality they no longer practice faith in a God that has any real power

The truth is, Fear has become their false God, one they worship with complete and undying devotion.
The symptoms of Fear Idolatry are pretty easy to spot.

When you’re not sure that God is there or that He’ll really come through, you start to spend most of your time defending Him in absentia. You become a self-appointedCrusader of Truth, whose mission is to do the holy work of policing the world, (just in case God can’t or won’t).
You spend a lot of time calling out evil, forecasting disaster, and predicting damnation.
When Fear is your God, you start majoring isExteriorSin Management. You slowly yet ultimately turn your all of attention to the things inother peoplethat you’re certain really tick God off, and you make it your sacred business to modify their behavior in the name of Jesus

I’m praying for so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ, to stop worshipping the false idol of Fear.
I’m praying that they recapture a God Who is worthy; not just of defending and quoting, but trusting.
I’m praying for the rest, joy, and humility that comes from putting faith in something greater than themselves and in the things they fear.
Every day, even with the mystery that grows on my journey, my security grows too.
I know how big my God is.
Do you?

christians should mix with devil

the process ofJesufyingis rather simple: You just take whatever thing, practice, or area in your life that you want to burnish, shine, (or more accurately, sanitize and spiritualize), add the wordChristianto it, and voilà: it is nowJesufied!

Christians have a way ofJesufyingeverything that we’re involved in, so that it all sounds a bit more spiritual, appears more God-honoring, and generally makes us feel a whole lot holier, as we walk through the “sinful” world around us.
As a result, we who call The Church home, now regularly indulge in:
Christian music
Christian movies
Christian newspapers

Christian, if lots of your friends are Christians, be concerned.
Ifallof your friends are Christians, repent

In fact, many followers of Jesus have so effectively partitioned-off their lives, that we can do almost anything on a given day, without bumping up against, or being contaminated by, the scary “non-Christian” world in any significant way.

No, you see, so many people, areout there(beyond yourJesufiedworld), waiting for you to enter their space, and show them this Jesus who supposedly is worth giving-up everything for, in real-time.
And you’ll never do that if you see them as sick or dirty, and you’ll never do that if you live in a sealed religious bubble, and you’ll never do that if you feel that all the stuff they love is corrupt and evil.
So this week, as you go through the movements that make up yourordinary, look for ways in which you can actually live life, aroundandwithpeople who believe differently than you do.
Do business with those who don’t share your faith. Let them see the difference it makes in your life, as you buy and sell and negotiate and deal.
Forge friendships with coworkers and neighbors, who don’t knowCorinthians

Listen to some good ‘ol “devil music”,

Living a life on mission, isn’t about avoiding bad things through cultural abstinence, as much as it is about redeeming people through transcending love.
Christian, you want to do something really beautiful for the world? Stop segregating yourself from it.
StopJesufyingyour life, and start living your life, likeJesus; unapologetically with those who need to experience him the most.
